St. Cloud State University's Husky Stadium

Husky Stadium opened in the fall of 2004.This multi-purpose facility has seating for 4,198 spectators and is the home of St. Cloud State football and soccer. The field and stadium overlooks the scenic Mississippi River and features a state-of-the-art synthetic playing surface along with lights for night play.  Of note, the new turf was recently installed during the summer of 2014.

In fact, St. Cloud State's softball team hosts annual indoor softball tournaments in the dome each year. St. Cloud State's baseball program also takes advantage of the indoor dome to practice in during the winter months.In the winter months, the field is covered with an inflatable dome that provides outstanding practice space for many of the St. Cloud State athletic teams and St. Cloud State's recreation sports programs.  When inflated, the dome offers one of the highest indoor domes in the upper midwest.

Below the grandstand, complete locker facilities are available for St. Cloud State's football and soccer teams, along with locker facilities for visiting teams and officials.  The facility is also be used by area high school teams for football and soccer games, along with use by St. Cloud State students for recreation and intramural programs.

This facility offers all St. Cloud State students a first-class fitness center featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment including weight training equipment, treadmills and fitness bikes. Husky Stadium is connected to Halenbeck Hall by the new St. Cloud State Student Fitness Center. The facility also offers two dance studios and a climbing wall, martial arts studio, a massage room and a complete outdoor recreation equipment rental center along with office space and classrooms.  Convenient access to Halenbeck Hall's South Fieldhouse is also available from the new Fitness Center.

Directions To St. Cloud State University

I-94:

  • Take Exit 171 into St. Cloud.
  • Follow Stearns County Road 75 for 3.5 miles.
  • Turn right at the intersection of County Road 75 and Cooper Avenue. This roadway becomes University Drive. Drive east on University Drive for about 15 blocks.
  • Take the first exit on the round-about and drive south on Ninth Avenue South.

U.S. Highway 10:

  • Exit west from U.S. Highway 10 to Highway 23.
  • Cross the Mississippi River on the Granite City Crossing Bridge.
  • Turn south on Fifth Avenue South and proceed through the round-about.

From the West - Minnesota Highway 23:

  • Take Minnesota Highway 23 into St. Cloud.
  • At the Highway 23 / Minnesota Highway 15 intersection drive straight ahead on 2nd Street South.
  • Drive about 1.4 miles east as 2nd Street South becomes Roosevelt Road/Stearns County Road 75.
  • At the intersection with Cooper Avenue South, turn left.
  • Cooper Avenue quickly empties into University Drive. Drive about 15 blocks east on University Drive.
  • Take the first exit on the round-about and drive south on Ninth Avenue South.

From the East - Minnesota Highway 23:

  • Follow Minnesota Highway 23 into St. Cloud.
  • Cross the Mississippi River on the Granite City Crossing Bridge.
  • Turn south on Fifth Avenue South and proceed through the round-about.
